Winter weather is upon us and baby, it’s cold outside (at least for us Texans). But don’t let the frigid weather keep you from having an outdoor wedding, because if done right, winter weddings can be truly magical. Here are just a few ways that you can keep your guests warm and happy all night long!
To Have & To Hold in Case You Get Cold
Keep your guests cozy and warm during the ceremony by providing fleece blankets. This allows them to focus on you instead of how cold they are. It’s a win-win! Pro-tip: match the blankets with your color palette for that extra “wow” factor.
Wrap up in Faux Fur
Just because the temperature drops, doesn’t mean you have to give up your dream dress! Wrap up in a faux fur stole… for warmth and for style. You might want to give your bridesmaids a stole or a long sleeve dress, after all, they have to stand up there with you!
Add Warmth (Literally)
Place your sweetheart table in front of the fireplace & add space heaters to keep your guests warm during the reception. If it’s really chilly, roll down the clear walls to keep the heat in.
Hot Drinks Bar
Warm up your guests by serving hot chocolate or hot apple cider. Or even coffee service for a late night pick-me-up. **Bonus points if the bar is serving Bailey’s!
S’more Love Please
A s’mores bar is ALWAYS a good idea. It gives your guests a sweet treat while adding a bit of coziness to the reception. Plus, the kids will love it too!
