Kindred Oaks is proud to offer one of the best outdoor facility rain plans in the city! Our covered pavilion sits directly next to a covered stone gazebo that looks out on the tree covered pasture and serves as not only our rain plan but also the preferred ceremony location for 5% of our couples.
The photos below show what Plan B looks like, in various stages. Because of how gorgeous it is, this is Plan A for some! Our rock gazebo serves as one of two covered ceremony locations to choose from, our sandstone fireplace being the second. We have clear, automated walls that can be used in the case of extreme weather, and with our newly available central air conditioning & heating, the pavilion easily becomes a comfortable “indoor” space.
Predominantly an outdoor facility, our first obligation is to make sure you are protected in the event of inclement weather. You should not have to rely only on the crossing of your fingers! Relying on the statistics of over 1500 weddings, we have to implement plan B only 5% of the time! When it does rain, your guests are fully protected to the best of our ability and we still party on! As they say in Texas, “if you don’t like the weather, just wait a few minutes and it’ll change!”
